In the ever-shifting lands of Huanglong, side quests are rarely just errands. The Rover who wanders off the main road will discover underground facilities beneath Wenye Beach, frightened cooks near the Distribution Center, and animal translators whose small requests span an entire week. By 2026, the A–O side quest catalogue remains a rich loop of puzzles, combat, and daily-reset conversations. This guide follows one patient traveler through those quests from A Free Meal? I to No Response Tonight.

The Free Meal and the Magnetic Cubes

The story began at the Distribution Center, where a Jovial Patroller complained about a broken mechanism. The Rover accepted A Free Meal? I and quickly learned that a free meal was not free. The first mechanism was a Signals Console puzzle, followed by a wave of enemies. The second required two sensing modules slotted nearby. The third, however, was the real test: three Magnetic Cubes, each traveling a distinct route. Following the route diagrams kept the plates from colliding.

After the mechanisms were activated, the quest did not truly end. The Rover changed the in-game clock to the next day and the continuation appeared. A Free Meal? II led to Minghu near the Distribution Center. There, the traveler ordered Minghu to strike a Magnetic Cube: right, then forward, then forward. Later, an Encryption Block demanded Levitator work. Key Repeaters had to be placed on the correct blocks with the right rotation.

A Quest of Wits and Daily Patience

Under Wenye Beach, a hole south of the Beacon dropped into an underground facility. There, Quiz and Quwen waited with three daily questions.

Each answer required a daily reset, so the patient wanderer returned three times. A Taste of Everything appeared only after starting the Honorary Chef: Taste of Memories tutorial.

Combat, Camps, and Explosives

A True Arena Champion began on the shore north of Remnant Residence. A commoner needed saving from a Tacet Discord. The mission stretched through battle after battle. At Clouded Cliffs, Camp Raid waited near a makeshift camp. The Rover had to let two NPCs finish talking, then followed the navigation to rescue hostages. East of Forbidden Forest, Danger! Explosive! found Yongli surrounded by explosive boxes. A ranged character cleared them, but replacements then had to be gathered from another camp. A note on a box explained why only two explosives appeared. De-Hoochief was simpler: inside the Wenye Beach underground facility, an Anxious Researcher needed mobs cleared. Explosive Spear Tip Testing arrived automatically after We Promise, We Deliver and asked for timed target shooting.

Movement, Theft, and Jinzhou Trivia

Hero of the Leap required Dashbon west of Jinzhou. The challenge was to swing from grappling hook to grappling hook without touching the ground. The Sensor revealed the next route, and four challenges each ended with a chest.

At a base north of Jinzhou, Beigu asked the Rover to investigate stolen camp supplies. The first clue was heavy footsteps, the second a Supply Request Form on a table. Confronting Wuheng led to the resolution.

In Jinzhou, the Journal of Jinzhou quizzes tested memory. The first volume asked for Jue, Department of Safety, and Caltrop. After a daily reset, the second volume asked for Vanguards and Pangu Terminal.

Animal Words: A Week of Small Favors

The Listen to Animals' Words chain became a quiet ritual. The first translation, Cat's Language, started near the Resonance Nexus in Jinzhou and required cooking Milky Fish Soup. A day later, Xuanyin asked for a Pearl Leaf for Rabbit's Language. Dog, Fish, Frog, Lizard, and Bird followed, each gated by 24 hours and scattered around Jinzhou, Stone Pile Plain, Lollo Warehouse, and beyond. The Bird's Language finale required a Star Flake. If the recipe was missing, Panhua sold it, and Mahu supplied ingredients. The sequel sent the Rover north of Lake Heights to use the Sensor and follow birds to a treasure chest.

Lost, Messenger, and No Response

Lost History appeared automatically after repairing the lighthouse in Desorock Highland Bay. It asked for five lighthouses across Huanglong without map markers. Lost Ranger surfaced after the Grand Warstorm main quest around Union Level 21. Messenger again descended into the Wenye Beach facility, where Chuyi asked the Rover to find a researcher just above. Misfortune on a Workday started inside a container at Gubei Pass, turning a Ministry of Development Engineer into an escort mission for a treasure chest. Finally, No Response Tonight began with a Broken Radio near Settle Range. The Rover recovered three robot parts to fix a huge machine and unlock another chest; the task also crossed paths with the Shooting Party quest.

For a 2026 traveler, the A–O side quest list still offers satisfying variety: timed hooks, daily animal words, quiz answers that demand patience, and explosive camps.
